Ambient Environmental Parameter Estimation for Reliable Diffusive Molecular Communications

Molecular communication is a promising technology that uses biomolecules such as proteins and ions to establish link between nanoscale devices. In diffusive molecular communication, which diffusion characteristics of transfer molecules, the mechanism mathematically derived Channel Impulse Response (CIR) design an optimal detector structure. However, ideal environment assumed for deriving CIR. Hence there concern developed systems based on CIR may not operate well in realistic environment. this study, finite element method (FEM), we constructed model with heterogeneous temperature distribution actual volume transmitting molecules only demodulate bit information via maximum likelihood sequence estimation (MLSE) but also estimate molecules. Furthermore, evaluated performance MLSE investigated effects ambient environmental transmitted communication. The evaluation results demonstrated proposed can improve by approximately 9 dB estimating transmit molecule volume.
